Confabulations

“(verb: confabulate) is a disturbance of memory, defined as the production of fabricated, distorted or misinterpreted memories about oneself or the world, without the conscious intention to deceive.”

A study of immediate familys history in post WW2 era, through family photographs and discarded footage. How memoryies of neighbours and relatives started to seep into family narrative, how the actual historical events changed shape and transformed during the years of remembering and forgetting, leaving behind a amalgam of actual incidents, other peoples memories and own fantasies.
